ARVs are a lifelong treatment, therefore one must be committed to taking the right drugs, the right doses , at the right time each and every day

It is important to take all of the medications in your regimen each and every day

Have a vision for the future

Take your medicines at the same time everyday

Use a cell phone, to help remind you to take medications

Have a treatment buddy/supporter that you have disclosed to who supports you to take your medicines

Get in the habit of taking your medications with an activity you do daily

Discuss side effects with your service provider

Follow all instructions given to you by your service provider ( taking drugs with or without food)

Talking to peers who are experienced in taking medicines

Keep a back-up supply in a handbag, backpack, or at work, in case you forget your pills

It is a good habit to bring your pill bottles whenever you go to visit your service provider.

Inform your service provider of any co-current medications or herbal products that you may be taking

Your healthcare provider is the best source of information for questions and concerns related to your medical problem.
